I had the pleasure of meeting Anna Zak 🇵🇱 and her Honda CRF250L that is passing through Uganda. Anna comes from Poland and has traveled several continents and will soon say goodbye to Africa for a new route in the Middle East. Kevin Max Benavides (born 9 January 1989) is an Argentine rally raid motorcyclist who is best known for winning the Dakar Rally twice, in 2021 and 2023, as well as coming second place in 2018
Kristen Landman
A professional off-road and hard enduro rider from Cape Town, South Africa. Kirsten Landman has been riding since the age of 8 and launched her professional career at the age of 22.
Toby Price
Australian off-road and enduro motorcycle racing world champion. He lives in Gold Coast, Queensland, and rode for the KTM Off-Road Racing Team[2] until October 2015. He now represents the Red Bull Factory KTM Rally Team. Price is a two-time winner of the Dakar Rally, taking out the Bikes class in 2016 and 2019 and 2023 ending in second place.

Skyler Howes
Skyler has been riding motorcycles since he was three years old. Born in California and based in Utah, he turned pro in 2012 and has spent many years in of-road. It ended up in third place at the Saudi Arabia 2023 Dakar.

Tim Notier 🇺🇸 (USA) aka Notier Frontiers and his wife Marisa quit their jobs to circumnavigate the globe on their KTM 1190 Adventure motorcycle. They’ve travelled through North and South America and are now heading to South Africa and then to Europe. Also wrote some travel books such as 2Up and Overloaded for inspiring traveler all over the globe.

At the Equator in Uganda I came across with this two riders from Germany, Rudolf 🇩🇪 and Janna 🇩🇪, aka “Dentists on Bikes” riding through Africa and doing some charity work. Met João Roque 🇵🇹 aka Nomad_on2Wheels, in Kampala and it was a blast! João worked for the Red Cross in Syria and other countries then he decided to do his rtw trip starting in Africa from the Eastern part till the south and he is now going Up South America from the western coast! After the incident in the desert we rode again crossing the Botswana and meeting again at beautiful Nata Lodge for a memorable night. After one year we meet again in UK riding from Whales to Oxford to join the great Overland Event.

Unexpected meeting with Cristian 🇨🇱 at the hall of Rovuma Hotel in Mozambique. He was just arriving from his long journey from the north of Africa till South Africa where he was going to ship his bike up to Miami. He has come a long way on his solo ride around the globe. Don Mario
Unexpected encounter with Mario 🇦🇱 at the border from Croatia to Montenegro and he had the exhaust pipe out of the bike once it had been broken on the way. He was going from Albania to UK but had to go back. We ended up by talking on the border, I had some bike papers issues to get in Albania but Mario made me more calm at that point. Drove together on a rainy day till Tirana, had great time in the Tirana Harley Club with his friends. Good biker spirit, very glad to meet Mario!
Ian Coates
I didn´t had as much laughter as I did when I met Ian Coates 🇬🇧. Just hilarious, he will tell about his adventures, how he dodges bears in the wild, how he travels without GPS and mobile phone and with maps and sometimes without, just rumbling. 1991 Honda Africa Twin motorcycle. 240,000 miles and 14 years later went back home.
João Gomes
Met João 🇵🇹 in Mocímboa da Praia, Mozambique, while he was going on his African continent cross. The project UP I GO! was about starting from Angola to Egypt and shipping the bike to Europe and after doing some explorations rides in Asia (Thailand, Laos and Vietnam). He is now running bike expeditions in Morocco, great João always looking for adventure!

The funny things that happens on the road even on solo rides is that you are never alone, so on the road going up the Cote d´Azur I meet this lovely couple that happens to be members of Harley Davidson moto club of Prague, Czech Republic 🇨🇿. A nice couple and a funny chat in a gas station!
Spencer Conway
Met Spencer 🇸🇿 on the Overland Event where I have brought him a bottle of homemade Firewater (aguardente). Had a chat with him and his lovely wife Kathy about the next project which is to circumnavigate the South America just after he did the Circumnavigation of Africa.
